Beautiful handmade paper cards, letterpress printed one-at-a-time with sweet Christmas wishes.
Full deckle edge paper handmade in our California studio, hand-fed onto antique letterpresses for a textured deboss. Approximately 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches folded with inside blank; comes with an ecru envelope and a small card matte printed with photos and a little information about our process. Backs are letterpress printed with a small note including information about the natural dyes used to color each unique piece of paper.

Written by farmette founder Loren Profit Smith, this Christmas card reflects on the significance of the incarnation - Emmanuel, God with us. Card features simple typography that reads "In the birth of the baby Jesus, we see the most poignant picture of what God has been saying all along: "I am here. I am with you." In our deepest pain, in our joys, in our worst and best decision, in the depths and in the heights, God is with us, and we are never, ever alone. This is our comfort, our consolation, our hope." and hand-written "Emmanuel". Letterpressed in black ink on soft white paper.

*Please note: all of our paper dyes are botanically-based and will vary because of slight differences in the plant matter, weather, and making process. Expect that the colors will be a little different than the image you see here, and enjoy that your card is truly one-of-a-kind. To maintain the original hue longest, please store out of direct sunlight.
The Christmas cards I received are absolutely beautiful in their structure and simplicity. I especially love the Scripture included, making the card much for meaningful and special.
